straight up brisket, simply seasoned because it really doesn’t need anything else — brisket is that good. half-cooked it in the oven for an hour, to give off some fat and juices i used to make gravy, then onto the grill until cooked.
i had an idea of grilling another dessert, apple pie with a simple twist. i cored the apples and restuffed with apples seasoned with cinnamon, brown sugar, and a little caramel sauce. i opted out on nutmeg because i didn’t have any around. used premade pie shell for the crust, added a little butter on top and then grilled. it really did taste like apple pie. ate it with french vanilla gelato. i’d recommend peeling the apples, though — first attempt, i learned things.
